Director
Meryl Diamond focuses her practice on commercial real estate finance. She has extensive experience in, and her practice involves, the representation of national banks, debt funds and other institutional lenders in all aspects of the origination, purchase, and sale of portfolio and securitized (both conduit and SASB) commercial mortgage loans, mezzanine loans, syndicated loans, subordinate notes and participation interests secured by commercial real estate properties in all 50 states consisting of all asset types including large, complex single and multi-property transactions and the representation of lenders, servicers and asset managers in connection with restructuring, workouts and foreclosures of both mortgage and mezzanine loans. Meryl also has experience acting as form and program counsel for institutional lenders and in the representation of rating agencies in connection with their collateral review of CMBS debt. Meryl is also an adjunct professor at St. John’s University School of Law where she teaches a Real Estate Finance course to law students, Real Estate LLM students, and Bankruptcy LLM students.
Prior to joining the firm, Meryl practiced commercial real estate law in New York City at Am Law 100 law firms for more than 25 years (over 15 years as a partner) specializing in the representation of institutional lenders in connection with all aspects of the financing of various types of commercial real estate throughout the United States.
